Discharge & Home Protocol

Safe recovery and home calcium administration

Follow these daily administration schedules, dietary pairings, and symptom alerts to sustain therapeutic serum levels after discharge.

Step 01
Oral dose administration
Prescribed schedule: 1–2 g elemental calcium daily in 3–4 divided oral doses.

Take with or after meals

Take oral tablets with food or 1 to 2 hours after meals to optimize absorption and prevent gastric discomfort.

Full 8 oz glass of water

Swallow each dose with a full 240 mL (8 oz) glass of water to reduce mucosal irritation and enhance dissolution.

Divided daily dosing

Split your total prescribed dose into 3 to 4 equal doses across the day (maximum 500 mg elemental calcium per dose).

Never double up doses if one is missed; resume normal spacing.
